In a but of a surprise news for Penn State football fans Monday, the University of Maryland announced that the 2019 game with Penn State has been moved to Friday, September 27. The game was originally set for Saturday, September 28. It will still be played on the Maryland campus.
Kickoff time and television coverage will be announced at a later date.
The Nittany Lions will be playing a Friday evening game for the second consecutive season. In 2018, Penn State traveled to Illinois and dominated the Illini, 64-24.
Following three non-conference home games against Idaho, Buffalo, and Pittsburgh, Penn State will open the Big Ten part of its schedule against the Terrapins.
