Penn State senior defensive end Carl Nassib had a fantastic season in 2014 for the Nittany Lions. He efforts on the field earned him consideration for six national awards. It was announced on Wednesday that Nassib was selected the winner of the Ted Hendricks Award, given to the nation’s top defensive end.
Nassib leads the nations in sacks and forced fumbles and is second in tackles for loss. He made the most of his first season as a starter and is now one of the best defensive linemen in the nation. The former walk-on now has a high likelihood of being selected in the upcoming 2016 NFL Draft.
