Penn State football used the 2019 recruiting class to make sure that quarterback would be a position of strength for years to come. Taquan Roberson and Michael Johnson Jr. will be battling each other in a few years to lead the Nittany Lion offense.
Johnson, a dual-threat quarterback from Oregon, is ranked as the No. 2 prospect from his home state and the No. 14 at his position according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. Oregon, Florida State, Miami, Alabama, and Ohio State, among others, all made scholarship offers to Johnson Jr.
