The 4-3 defense relies on great athletes up front and usually needs its defensive tackles to be a little leaner. Penn State football defensive tackle Robert Windsor may not fit that prototype, but he’s key in clogging up the middle.
At 6-foot-4, 305-pounds, he’s a big body at one of the defensive tackle spots. Windsor’s sign leans closer to a nose tackle in a 3-4, but his athleticism and speed make him a dangerous player. A lot his tackles were made right at the point of attack, but his motor and underrated range helped him track ballcarriers down well beyond the line of scrimmage.
