The Penn State secondary will have a bit of a different look this season with the departures of safety Jordan Lucas and cornerback Trevor Williams. There isn’t a ton of experience returning, but one player who has played for two seasons, cornerback Christian Campbell, could see an expanded role in 2016.
The departure of Williams leaves a starting spot open at cornerback. Heading into the start of the season, Grant Haley and John Reid should be the starters. Behind them there will be opportunities to earn playing time in a reserve role.
Campbell is entering his third season with the Nittany Lions and has seen time both on defense and on special teams.
