After falling to Big Ten rival Michigan last Sunday at home, No. 4 Penn State rebounded by defeating Michigan State and Kent State on its weekend road trip.
An early goal from junior Moira Putsch proved to be the only score needed for the Nittany Lions on Friday night, as they downed Michigan State 1-0.
Putsch scored in the second minute of the game off of an Aurelia Meijer assist and the rest of the game was dominated by defense as goalie Jenny Rizzo only had to make five saves off of eight shots by the Spartans.
