Penn State field hockey outpaced by Ohio State in lackluster second half

No. 17 Penn State hits the road looking for its first Big Ten road win of the season against No. 4 Ohio State in Columbus.

Penn State struggled as it fell to Ohio State 4-0, falling to a 1-3 conference record.

Penn State started the game with early pressure, pushing back the Buckeyes defense.

Off a defensive stand, Ohio State sprinted up the field and began setting up its own offense. Forward Makenna Webster attacked the wings of the defense and fired an early shot that went wide of the cage.

The Nittany Lions quickly flipped the field after that stop as Ella Jennes set up a penalty corner with three minutes left to play in the first quarter.
