As fall sports start to come to a close, so does the Penn State women’s and men’s fencing teams' preseason, which means the NCAA regular season is just around the corner.
Throughout October, the Nittany Lions participated in several open-style tournaments. They were fencing unattached in an effort to hone their individual skills to be ready for the day they compete as a united team in the NCAA collegiate tournaments.
As the Lions go into this weekend, that day has finally come. On Sunday, the Lions will compete at Sacred Heart University, where they will face Princeton, Harvard, New York University and Vassar College in the opening NCAA tournament of the winter season.
