Originally scheduled to take place at Lafayette College, a norovirus outbreak lead to relocation of the fencing NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regionals to Moravian College. But the change of location and confusion did not throw Penn State off its postseason plans of dominating its competition.
The Nittany Lions finished their regular season 22-6 on the No. 4 men’s side and 18-10 on the No. 7 women’s. With impressive final season records, coach Wes Glon pushed his team to compete strongly this weekend and display what it has worked for all season, a shot at another national title.
Overall, the team did not disappoint.
