After four days of competition at the 2016 NCAA Fencing Championships and only five fencers advancing into the semifinals, Penn State now has two national champions, junior Jessie Radanovich and sophomore Andrew Mackiewicz.
Radanovich was the first fencer to capture a title, finishing out the women’s epee contest in first place on Friday afternoon.
The only female competitor to advance for the Lions, the captain finished day one of the women’s competition sitting in second place, after going 11-4 by the end of the day. With that motivation in mind, the two-time All-American battled hard to finish out in first place overall.
