Penn State officially dismissed a tight end from the football team today after State College police charged him on March 8 with misdemeanor indecent assault and a summary count of harassment.
The team had suspended Brent Wilkerson, 21, of Clinton, Md., indefinitely March 15. The redshirt senior waived his right to a preliminary hearing and could next stand trial for the February incident in which he allegedly groped and exposed himself to a 24-year-old woman.
"Brent Wilkerson is no longer a member of the Penn State football team due to a violation of team rules," a team spokeswoman said in a statement.
