Penn State defensive lineman Ryan Buckholz is the kind of guy who’s tough to overlook.
On and off the field.
After all, it’s not easy to miss someone who stands 6 feet 6 and weighs 275 pounds.
Earlier this season, offensive tackle Steven Gonzalez described Buckholz as “just a huge human being.” Considering that Gonzalez checks in at 6 feet 4, 341 pounds, he’s something of an authority on the subject.
The only thing larger than Buckholz’s body, it seems, might be his promise.
Nittany Lions defensive coordinator Brent Pry suggested recently that Buckholz has the potential to have not only a productive career, but to create a legacy worthy of mention alongside those of Mike Reid, Bruce Clark and Courtney Brown, among others.
