After their 34-12 victory over West Virginia, Penn State has moved up one spot in one of the major rankings.
Perhaps the Big Ten’s most consistent team in Week 1, the Nittany Lions ranked eighth in both the Associated Press rankings and the Coaches Poll. They are joined in the top ten by three other conference foes, Ohio State (2nd), Oregon (7th, dropping four spots in the AP poll), and Michigan (10th, falling one spot). Meanwhile, USC vaulted ten spots to 13th, while Iowa moved up four spots to 21st in the AP poll.
