Penn State Berkey Creamery: 'It's a tradition, the same as the football team'

Fans heading to Happy Valley for Penn State Football game know where to go for a cool treat.

The Penn State Berkey Creamery on campus is as much of a tradition as football and the Nittany Lion. It's where memories are made and scoops of cookie dough, bittersweet mint and Kenney Beany fill cones and bowls.

For more than 150 years the creamery has been producing its own ice cream. Take a "Behind the Field" look at the creamery in the video, above.

It was started in 1865 in the "College Barns" -- along with a blacksmith shop and a hayloft -- behind what is now Old Main, according to the Creamery's website.
