Penn State trailed for much of the game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Tuesday night but mounted a furious comeback to send the home crowd away happy. Down by as many as eight in the second half, the Nittany Lions fought back and used an explosion of offense in the final few minutes to defeat the Gophers 86-77.
Penn State hung in with Minnesota but trailed for much of the first half and went into the break with a four-point deficit. It was much of the same to start the second half with the Nittany Lions struggling to get much going.
