A simple look at the box score of Wednesday’s Round 1 NIT game between Penn State and Temple shows that the Owls dominated the Nittany Lions. However, the final score doesn’t match the statistics. Penn State, despite being out of the game for much of the night, found a way to grind out a win in the end.
When the dust settled, the Nittany Lions came out with a 63-57 victory.
The biggest number to stand out from the statistics is the fact that Penn State’s leading scorer, Tony Carr, had just two points in the entire game.
