A night after losing a heartbreaker to Colorado in the Las Vegas Classic, the Penn State Nittany Lions outlasted the Kent State Golden Flashes in the third place game. Senior forward Brandon Taylor had a great game and helped lead the Nittany Lions to the 75-69 victory.
Taylor used a good shooting night to pour in 29 points, a new career high. He also added six rebounds in the winning effort.
Penn State led for much of the game but fell behind halfway through the second half. Down by as much as six, the Nittany Lions took over in the final five minutes and sealed the win.
