Penn State was able to do something on Saturday that had not been done for over 15 years. The Nittany Lions won a basketball game at Iowa for the first time since 2001. Penn State was outscored in the third period but was able to pull out the 77-73 victory.
Iowa never led in the game, but had several chances to take a late lead. Fortunately for the Nittany Lions, they were able to do enough on the defensive end to preserve the lead.
The Nittany Lions struggled a bit from the field, shooting just 44 percent, but had an excellent day from long range.
