After two straight conference losses the Penn State Nittany Lions were able to get a quality road win at Northwestern on Saturday night. The Nittany Lions took advantage of a poor-shooting night from the Wildcats and dominated for much of the game before hanging on for the 71-62 victory.
With the game appearing over in the final minutes of the second period, Penn State went cold from the field and let the Wildcats claw back into the game. Fortunately, while the shots from the floor were not falling for the Nittany Lions, the late foul shots were.
Senior Forward Brandon Taylor led the way for the Nittany Lions with 19 points.
