Madison Square Garden contained a large contingency of Penn State faithful on Saturday afternoon, but it still didn’t help propel the Nittany Lions to a victory. In the inaugural Big Ten Super Saturday, the Nittany Lions squared off with the Michigan Wolverines on the hardwood. Michigan never trailed and defeated Penn State by a score of 79-72.
The Nittany Lions really struggled to score the ball in the first half and turned a low shooting percentage into just 26 points at halftime. Penn State started sluggish and quickly went down 10-3 in the fist four minutes of the game.
