Despite this season being a disappointing one for Penn State basketball, Lamar Stevens put up some very impressive numbers. Stevens was a leader for the Nittany Lions and often the best Penn State player on court. After a strong season, Stevens decided to make himself eligible for the upcoming NBA draft.
However, unlike most players when they declare for the draft, Stevens will remain in school in order to retain his eligibility for his senior season. New NCAA rules allow players to return to school even after hiring an agent.
As a junior, Stevens averaged just under 20 points a game with seven rebounds and two assists per game.
