Penn State has added another piece to the puzzle in 6-foot-8 forward Jalanni White. White spent the past four seasons at Canisius, where he made 50 starts in 98 appearances. 31 of those starts have come in the past two seasons of play (a covid-shortened year meant 11 starts for White last season). White averaged 5.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, while shooting 50.5% from the field.
Penn State has a plethora of guards coming into the season, and the addition of another big —White would be the third player taller than 6-foot-7 on the team means the Nittany Lions won’t be as severely handicapped as they were going to be, considering the departure of Abdou Tsimila earlier in the summer.
