For the second night in a row, Penn State put three runs on the scoreboard against USC as the cold weather played a major part in offensive production.
The Nittany Lions collected the win in the first game of the series. However, three runs weren’t enough to get the job done Saturday evening as they lost 6-3 to the Trojans.
The struggles started with the lack of big offensive plays, as the Nittany Lions play heavily off the long ball. They have 57 home runs compared to giving up just 29, and center fielder Paxton Kling’s 12th bomb of the year led the way to the Friday night victory.
