Penn State right fielder Nick Riotto was named Big Ten Player of the Week Monday after notching four multi-hit games during the team's five games this week.
Riotto started the week batting second in the Nittany Lions' lineup before being pushed up to the leadoff spot for Saturday's doubleheader.
In the Lions' 7-6 win over Michigan State in Saturday's second game, the junior went 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs and three runs scored. It was the Spartans' first conference loss of the season.
Riotto is the second Lions player to win the award this season.
