Penn State sophomore Kris Kremer has garnered national recognition for his performance last weekend against then-No. 21 Duke. The left fielder was named one of Collegiate Baseball’s National Players of the Week and was a nominee for USA Baseball’s Golden Spikes Award Performance of the Week.
Kremer started all three games of the series, going 4-for-9 with three home runs, six RBIs and two walks. He also posted a perfect fielding percentage.
Kremer's breakout game was on Saturday, as he went 4-for-4 with three home runs and six RBIs. The sophomore's efforts helped propel the Nittany Lions to an 8-7 comeback victory over the Blue Devils.
