After another stellar performance against Big Ten rival Indiana last Friday, Penn State ace Dante Biasi has earned recognition for his dominance on the mound.
He was awarded B1G Pitcher of the Week on Monday, becoming the first Nittany Lion to do so since Steven Hill won the award on April 23, 2012.
Biasi threw nine strikeouts while allowing zero runs on two hits in 6.1 innings pitched during the Nittany Lions’ 3-0 shutout over the Hoosiers.
The left-hander now has two shutouts this season to pair with a 1.75 ERA and leads the Big Ten in strikeouts with 66 (ranking 17th nationally).
