Penn State baseball tops Elon with offensive outburst

In what began as another low scoring game, Penn State continued to strand runners on base.

However, a pitching change by Elon at the start of the sixth inning proved to be the spark the Nittany Lions offense needed to earn an 8-6 victory.

Penn State blew the game wide open on a two-out rally that included a mix of small-ball and big flies, with 7 runs on 7 hits.

Sophomore Logan Goodnight hit a two-run home run to left field, which ignited the rest of the Nittany Lion’s bats. Penn State followed with a chain of singles and a double by junior Connor Klemann to pull ahead by seven.
