After an offseason of building a new culture, a revitalized Penn State team will roll out its new brand of baseball this weekend in a season-opening series at Elon. The three-game set kicks off at 4 p.m. Friday.
“I’m excited about the upcoming year,” coach Rob Cooper said. “I’m excited to get going. I’ve probably had more fun coaching in the fall this past fall with this group of guys than I have in a long, long time.”
Taking the mound for the Nittany Lions on Friday will be right-hander Justin Hagenman. The junior led the team in innings pitched last season and earned 2018 Big Ten preseason honors earlier this month.
