When Penn State was down by two in the bottom of the ninth inning, it had an opportunity for another comeback win against No. 23 Nebraska, similar to that of the night before.
But another come-from-behind win wasn’t in the cards for the Nittany Lions, who fell 3-1 to the Cornhuskers on Friday night, missing key opportunities to score that could have changed the outcome of the game.
“The only difference between tonight’s game and last night’s game was that we didn’t win,” coach Rob Cooper said. “It was a well-played and competitive game by both teams, with a great crowd.
