Penn State baseball loses big in second game of Indiana doubleheader

Following an offense-heavy 15-9 win, Penn State took on Indiana in Game 2 of its Friday doubleheader at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

The script flipped in Indiana’s favor in game two, putting up 22 hits to Penn State’s 6 and taking the 17-6 win in eight innings.’'

Mason Horwat started on the bump for the Nittany Lions, allowing three runs to score while recording just two outs before coach Mike Gambino paid him an early mound visit. Horwat was pulled after just 0.2 innings of work, 32 pitches and four earned runs.

Harrison Lollin relieved Horwat, striking out his first batter faced to end the inning.
