Penn State’s first game of a three-game series against Minnesota was a tale of two different days.
When the Nittany Lions left the diamond on Friday, they held a 5-4 lead at the end of five innings.
Since the game was suspended due to low temperatures, the teams resumed the contest on Saturday, in what was the first game of a doubleheader.
It became clear that Penn State would have rather stayed on the field yesterday, as the Nittany Lions blew another late-inning lead and were unable to recover in their 7-6 loss at the hands of the Gophers.
