Penn State baseball falls to Iowa in pitchers duel

It was a pitching duel in Iowa City, Iowa, which ended in a 3-1 victory for the Hawkeyes.

Both starters dominated in this one, allowing no runs through their outings.

Once starting pitcher Baliey Dees came out of his first career Big Ten start, the Hawkeyes were able to take the 1-0 lead. As soon as Hawkeye starter Nick Allgeyer came out of the game, the Nittany Lions were able to tie the game at 1.

Iowa outfielder Ben Norman came up in the bottom of the eighth inning, hitting under .200 on the season, and hit a soft fly ball to left field allowing the eventual winning run to score all the way from first base.
