After a 7-6 10-inning victory on Saturday in the Big Ten semifinals against No. 4 Michigan, No. 8 Penn State looked to make some program history. The Nittany Lions faced No. 2 Nebraska in the Big Ten Tournament title game on Sunday morning.
Despite leading 1-0 through most of the game, the Huskers stormed back and a 2-1 victory notched the programs first ever Big Ten Tournament championship. Penn State will hope to hear its name called in Monday’s Selection Show for the NCAA Tournament.
The Nittany Lions went with No. 1 pitcher Travis Luensmann in the championship game.
