Penn State entered its final game of the Puerto Rico Challenge against a hungry UConn team looking for its first win of the season.
The Huskies looked to bounce back from its winless start after their pitching staff got decimated against Stetson and Missouri, surrendering 21 runs in just 16 innings.
The maul on UConn’s pitching staff continued in the finale, as Penn State’s offense was the saving grace in Sunday night’s 7-6 nail-biting win over the Huskies.
