Penn State entered the game red hot, with an offense that’s consistently put up double-digit runs against a St. Bonaventure squad who’s on an eight-game losing streak.
It was yet another double-digit offensive outburst as the blue and white’s late-inning scoring allowed it to defeat the Bonnies, 10-4.
The Nittany Lions got out to an early start in the bottom of the first inning. Third baseman Bryce Molinaro’s walk loaded the bases, setting up second baseman Joe Jaconski.
Jaconski laced a single off the glove of the first baseman, plating two runners. The first pitch to designated hitter Jack Porter went off the backstop and all the way to the third baseman which scored Molinaro from third.
