As Penn State welcomes Lock Haven in an exhibition game Friday at 6 p.m. at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, fans will have their first opportunity to see their team's new players in action.
Coach Rob Cooper's team has added 13 players to its roster, bringing its total to 34. The 13 players include five regular decision signees, six early signees, one transfer student and one dual-sport Penn State athlete.
Senior Matt McCutcheon, a NCAA championship-winner from the Nittany Lions' wrestling team, will be making his collegiate baseball debut. He played baseball through his sophomore year of high school and intends to be a catcher.
