Penn State women’s volleyball coach Russ Rose has long been one to praise Nebraska’s style of play and talented personnel, both of which were on display Friday night as the Cornhuskers handed the Nittany Lions their first loss of the season in Penn State’s conference opener.
Nebraska won in straight sets to move to 8-3 on the season, while Penn State falls to 10-1 and suffered its seventh straight loss against the Huskers to move to 10-20 all-time against them.
“[Nebraska] did what I thought they’d do especially well,” Rose said. “Their serve pass game was solid and they wore a couple of our kids down.
