UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Beaver Stadium is one of the largest venues in the country, and that’s not going to change.
Its seating capacity will at some point in the future, however.
Penn State’s athletic facilities master plan for the next 20 years, unveiled today, said that when renovations to the stadium are complete, the stadium will “have a capacity of at least 100,000.”
Its current capacity is 106,572.
Renovations to the stadium, which are planned for sometime after the next five years, include wider concourses, new restrooms, a “significant increase” in chairback seating, new concessions locations and food options and more premium seating options.
