Penn State men’s basketball (14-13, 4-12 Big Ten) snapped out of its funk Wednesday night, whomping Nebraska (17-10, 7-9 Big Ten) 89-72 at the Bryce Jordan Center. The game was not as close as the score suggests.
In a not-so-peculiar start to the game, Penn State came out of the gate firing in front of the sparse home crowd. The Nittany Lions opened the game on a 12-2 run, largely thanks to a great two-way effort from Yanic Konan-Niederhauser. But, this is where the trend broke. The Nittany Lions kept their feet on the gas.
The offensive onslaught continued throughout the first half, and Penn State looked nothing like the sloppy team it has been throughout Big Ten play.
