While the football team was busy prepping for a trip to the state of Indiana, the men’s basketball squad was busy hosting a team from the state of Indiana in the 8th-ranked Purdue Boilermakers.
The first few minutes started off rough for Penn State, as Purdue jumped out to an early 5-0 advantage, but the Lions gradually settled in and once they did, they began to dictate the pace on their terms with their fast-paced, full-court pressing, rack-up-the-steals style of play. PSU tied the game for the first time at 7-7 at the 15-minute mark and then proceeded to outscore the Boilermakers 33-17 the remainder of the half to take a 16-point lead to the locker room at halftime.
