Outplayed for long stretches of Saturday night’s game, Penn State completed a road sweep with a 6-2 win over Wisconsin. Arsenii Sergeev made 39 saves one night after setting a PSU record with his 4th shutout of the season. The win lifted the Lions right to the cusp of the NCAA Tournament bubble.
First Period
Wisconsin struck first on the power play when Kyle Kukkonen scored with plenty of traffic in front of Sergeev. Cade Christenson tied the game with a point shot that found its way through Tommy Scarfone with 5:02 remaining in the period- the first goal of his collegiate career.
