Penn State 3, Michigan State 2: Buckle Up, Baby!

No. 18 Penn State knocked off No. 1 Michigan State 3-2 on Saturday night in by far the Lions’ biggest win of the season. Arsenii Sergeev turned in his most dominant performance of the season, stopping 42 Michigan State shots. The win puts Penn State squarely on the NCAA bubble with the final week of the regular season looming.

First Period

Charlie Cerrato put Penn State on the board first just 59 seconds into the game. Matt DiMarsico collected the puck on his knees in the neutral zone and fed Cerrato, who found just enough room to get a shot off that beat TJ Augustine.
