The men’s hockey team secured its third straight win and a sweep over Canisius with a 3-2 win on Saturday night.
First Period
Keaton Peters opened the scoring for Penn State after the Lions forced a turnover behind the net and caught Peter Wickstrom Stumer out of position. Ben Schoen extended the lead to 2-0 with a power play goal off a cross-ice pass from JJ Wiebusch.
Matt DiMarsico deflected a feed from Wiebusch into the back of the net on a 3-on-2 rush to give Penn State a 3-0 lead at the first intermission.
