Defensive end Shane Simmons, a long-time Penn State commit, has officially sent in his letter of intent to head coach James Franklin and the Nittany Lions.

The Nittany Lions could face some depth issues on the defensive line in the upcoming season and didn’t exactly stockpile defensive linemen in the most recent recruiting class. However, Simmons is one of the best defensive linemen available in this year’s class.
