Penn State opens its 2016 schedule on Sept. 3 when Kent State comes to town. The Golden Flashes are experienced on both lines but young at practically every other position. They should be better than their 3-9 2015 mark, but not improved enough to topple the Lions on the road.
PSU Prediction
The most anticipated game on the Lions' non-conference schedule comes Sept. 10 when a four year series with Pittsburgh reignites what has been a dormant rivalry between the two programs. Pittsburgh loses star Tyler Boyd and has a new offensive coordinator of its own in Matt Canada.
