Penn State downed Wisconsin 2-0 on Friday night in arguably the Nittany Lions’ biggest win of the season. Arsenii Sergeev recorded his fourth shutout of the season, making 25 saves, and the Lions came out on top in a stubborn defensive struggle.
First Period
After killing an early penalty, Penn State created a turnover in its offensive zone when Aiden Fink knocked down a Wisconsin breakout pass. His shot on net was stopped by Tommy Scarfone, but Reese Laubach was waiting near the crease to tap the puck home as it slipped behind Scarfone:
