The expectations for Pat Freiermuth were about as high as can be for an individual, with hopes that he would continue to be a difference maker for the Penn State offense with a promising chance of being named an All-American and John Mackey Award recipient as the nation’s top tight end.
To anyone unfamiliar with Freiermuth prior to Saturday, it did not take long for him to be noticed as someone who is steamrolling his way into the first round of the NFL Draft. While an argument can be made that a player of Freiermuth’s status didn’t receive enough targets, he certainly made the most every time Sean Clifford looked his way.
