When the 2016 recruiting class featuring the “Roman Catholic Trio” of Lamar Stevens, Tony Carr, and Nazeer Bostick was officially signed, sealed, and delivered, I (and probably a good number of fellow Penn State hoops devotees) had visions of this trio, along with Josh Reaves and Mike Watkins forming the nucleus of a program that would not only get back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011, but perhaps do so more than once during their careers.
We all know how things have turned out since, with Carr unwisely declaring for the NBA Draft after his sophomore year, Bostick transferring, and Reaves graduating, all without ever experiencing the Big Dance.
