Cleveland County district attorney Greg Mashburn has scheduled a 2 p.m. news conference Thursday, his office said, where he is expected to announce whether charges will be filed against Oklahoma running back Rodney Anderson.
Anderson was accused of rape in an emergency protective order a woman filed Dec. 4, and Mashburn has met with Norman police regarding a criminal investigation.
Anderson and his attorney, Derek Chance, have vouched for Anderson’s innocence, recently releasing a third-party polygraph report Anderson passed.
The woman alleges in a court petition Anderson penetrated her with his fingers, and the woman wrote, “I remember feeling like I couldn’t get away.
