One of the best to patrol the middle at Penn State, Paul Posluszny arrived in Happy Valley during the “Dark Years”, and made an immediate impact, playing in eight games, and recording an interception return for a touchdown against Indiana (oops, sorry, that was Paul Palusny, right Ron Franklin?) in his freshman year of 2003. He followed that up with another interception against Michigan State in 2004, and added 11 tackles and a major role in the momentum-changing goal-line stand at Indiana. Posluszny’s best two seasons were his last, as he tallied 116 tackles in each season, as well as back-to-back Bednarik Awards, first-team All-American honors, and a Butkus Award in 2005.
